Creating components which could enhance the utilization of proportionally controlled joysticks for powered mobility sprouted the design of the Mushroom Joystick. Standard joystick configuration may restrict or prevent full access to proportional control for individuals who have a limited range of motion (in their wrists, hands and/or fingers) or a weakened or inadequate grasp.
